Pimping my Mini (already)

MacBook Mini!My Apple decals arrived today in the mail, so you know I had to make my pretty Mini even prettier (though I am sure John from Dell is probably dying a little inside, sorry John!).  The rainbow stickers from icolours.ca were cute, but they were too small and also too thin to cover the Dell logo.  No real loss, they were cheap, they’re still cute, and I already put one of the two I purchased on my WD Passport drive (which is backing up my Mini using Time Machine as we speak.)

I really am disappointed that the rainbow stickers don’t work, though…I was really looking forward to having a reminder of my vintage Apple roots.  The very first computer I used was an Apple ][, which was a part of my family from the time I was about 3 or 4 until we got an IBM PC when I was 15.  I may look into getting a custom skin or decal with the rainbow Apple down the road.

iPhone and MiniThankfully, I was prepared for the possibility that the rainbow sticker wouldn’t work (I was mostly concerned about size) and also ordered two of the gorgeous chrome decals from DecalsPlanet.  I had seen pictures of both a black and a white mini with the chrome decal and it looked so cool I had to get some for myself.  Now my Mini and my iPhone are practically twins! I love how shiny the chrome sticker is, and it covers the Dell logo completely.  Transformation to MacBook Mini is complete!

  1. All is forgiven. Hey, if it works for you, well, I’m just saying …

  2. I am totally jealous. I want a netbook…and that one seems just perfect. But I’ve already blown my tech gear budget for the year…and it’s only April!

  3. That is soooo cool !
I got my dell mini a month ago and am finally taking time to accessorize which is how I found your site.
I live in the middle of nowhere so no iphones for us. My mini will not be “hackintoshed” because it suits my needs the way it is. I will however upgrade the memory . (that is about all I am capable of :)
I really enjoy seeing what others have done with their Dell minis.
Looking at yours I wish I would have chosen the Alpine White but I got the black and it’s pretty sleek looking. I too refused to pay for a different color. ( I have a pink Dell laptop)
Off to check out some of the links from your posts so I can accessorize and protect my baby computer :) Enjoy your writing !

  4. What size did you order to cover the mini logo?
