I thought that 3.0 was somehow being released today... :( I too am frustrated by the tethering. I had jailbroken my iPhone for tethering in the past. I sometimes need this feature the most for work purposes. I really hope AT&T backs down off their high horse and allows it. Otherwise, as soon as they lose the deal between them and Apple, I will move on to another carrier. Sometimes this "smart"phone doesn't seem so smart (MMS). Can't wait for the new version though.
